I have been wanting to blog for awhile now, but just didn't have the time for it. My kids are both in school now and I am extremely excited to share my journey with YOU...
I am passionate about Travel, Fitness, Food, Family and FUN!!
I am very fortunate to be able to travel often and I am excited to share all of my tips and tricks that I've learned through all of my travels. Getting to explore a new culture or location is like a breath of fresh air to me. I love exploring new cities and getting to feel the vibe from the streets and restaurants around. I will always be a beach babe at heart though, and I love going to beaches all over the world.
My fitness journey is a long and windy one, since I have been working out for almost 15 years. After 2 kids and being tired of how I feel, I have challenged myself to get those abs I've always wanted. So, about a year and a half ago I joined the BBG (Bikini Body Guide) program using the Sweat app by Kayla Itsines. I started slowly and have worked up to six 30 minute workouts a week. I feel better than ever and am on my way to those abs.... stay tuned for my journey!
Food fits in with my other passions of travel and fitness.... so naturally I love finding new, chic restaurants to try and healthy, simple food to cook. My passion for food goes back to my Romanian heritage and my mom. My mom is an amazing cook and I have picked up a lot of my cooking skills from her. That said, being a full-time wife, mom and many other hats I wear, I enjoy trying simple, but delicious food. I will never forget my first Foodie restaurant experience at Alinea in Chicago many years ago. My husband surprised me with dinner reservations there and it was truly an unforgettable experience. Since then, I have enjoyed the ambience and experience of trying many different cuisines in the Chicago area and across the world.
My husband and I have been married for twelve years and he is definitely my soul mate. I feel so blessed that we have found each other and have a beautiful life together. We have two amazing children that we are blessed with. My son, Sebastian is in third grade this year and he is a funny, smart and witty young boy. He loves legos, Star Wars and watching movies. My daughter, Victoria is in kindergarten and she is the sweetest, kindest soul. She loves American Girl, gymnastics and ballet.
We love to spend time together as a family playing board games on the weekends and going for bike rides.
I can't wait to share more of my journey with you....
